Russell Taylor trained and worked in San Diego for more than fifteen years before incorporating Rooster Builders in January 2018 and beginning trading under his own California General Building licence in February 2019.
He describes himself as an owner-builder with a solid team of professionals, and that is exactly how the company runs. The person who walks your property and prices the job is the person who sequences the trades, solves the problems that come out of a wall, and hands the finished house back to you.
It is a deliberately small operation. That is the point — it is why scope, budget and design criteria get aligned before work begins rather than renegotiated halfway through, and why there is never a question about who is responsible.
